hey guys.
i've been thinking about kinships and what sort of kinship i would like to join when i start playing, which got me thinking...every kinship (guild) i've been in when i played WoW never really gave me a sense of importance or a place i can call 'Home', except ones i've created myself....so i decided to start my own.
Now! first of all, i will be recruiting people of my level and slghtly above, and play to plan with them all the way up to level 60. that way me and my fellow kinsmen can really get the sense of being friends and knowing each other.
anyway...i will be creating this guild shortly after starting the game. any readers of my blog or youtube videos are more than welcome to join by either asking me in game or by going to the Tel'Sindavathar kinship link on the right on this page. the Kinship will be on Eldar realm and will be a Role playing type enviroment with a raiding future in mind. looking forward to seeing you all ingame and hope to be in middle earth soon.
take care guys.
Teowl
P.S: i am on holiday in orlando, florida at the moment and won't be posting anything for a couple of weeks. my next post will no doubt be after i've starting playing LotRO.

....What Class?
I have been looking into what class i would like to play when i create my character. the two that relly appeal to me are the Champion and the Guardian classses, but neither really have any greater appeal to me than the other.
these are my feelings about the classes:
First of all the Champion is a great tank and has a rather good DPS out put, witch would be good for grinding and solo play. however, it cannot use heavy sheilds unlike the Guardian, which may make it less capable/effective at tanking end game bosses, even though the extra DPS with help towrds threat, it will be useless if you can't take the damage and you die.
Now a Guardian is a class designed to be a main tank, it can use heavy shields and has many tanking designed abilities to it's disposal. however it's lack of DPS out put is worrying as i may struggle to grind materials for my vocations or item like potions ect for raiding.
....the third option is to create a guardian tank and then when he reaches end game content, invest my time in creating a grinding character to fill the role that i wanted my Champion to fulfil....but is all that time invested in a new character really worth the end result? i supose i'll have to wait and see.

Welcome To My Blog.
Hi, I'm teowl and i've made the decision to start playing Lord Of The Rings Online in february. being a WoW veteran i am looking forward to this new game but also at the same time feeling anxious about it. really can't work out if i'm going to like it or not untill i try it, so the only thing i have to do now is try it.
anyho...i made this blog to track my progess and write down my thoughs on the game for anyone that would like to read. i do hope that people can be inspired by my writings in the future and that it may help people in LotRO.
